1. The speed limit within the port is 30 Km/h: do not exceed it and follow
carefully the road signs;
2. If you intend to travel in July and August, we suggest you to book your voyage well beforehand;
3. On entering the port you will be welcomed by one of our Passenger Assistants, the entering is allowed only after made check-in;
4. Follow their directions both when boarding or unloading and remember: they are working for you!
5. Because of the intense traffic during the summer season, you will have to leave your vehicle on the same dock where your ferry arrives/leaves.All passengers to be board must to have ticket and check-in before to come in the port. The ticket offices are located outside where is possible to find also restourant, toilettes etc. The docks are linked with the ticket-office by a free service of taxi available from 10.30 to 12 am and from 7 to 10 pm (tue, thu and sat), from 7 to 9 pm (mon, wed and fri) and by a bus coming every 30 minuts available from 12am to 6.40 pm (http://www.conerobus.it/home.asp)
6. If you get to the port too early before departure, we suggest you to visit Ancona and the area nearby (have a look at the suggestions we give in the itineraries
section in this website)
7. Check-in procedure: the check-in is the first and main thing to do before coming in the boarding areas. Go to the agency desk inside the
Maritime Station with:
- tickets, vouchers or reservation released by your travel agency;
- passport or other identification document, of all the passengers travelling with you;
- papers of the vehicle that you intend to board (if you ARE going to board a vehicle and not including bikes!!)
As soon as you made check-in will be possible to go to the boarding areas.
8. Remember to ask to the agency the exact boarding time (normally 2 or 3 hours before departure);
9. Sorted? Now, if you are boarding to Croatia, Turkey, Albania or Montenegro, you have to go to the Police desk for the passport control. The Police desk normally opens 2 hours
before the ferry leaves.
10. During the unloading procedure:
- do not hinder the unloading operation by parking in non-permitted areas even if for few seconds.
- avoid second rows or dangerous overtakings.
- the shape of the port and the intense summer traffic might create queues and temporary discomforts toward the exit of the port: remember you are on holiday, so relax and HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY!
