Dorica Port Services
 Dorica Port Services was founded in March 2000 with the aim of handling the flux of passengers and vehicles in the Port of Ancona.
The experience acquired by all the partners of the company in this activity, starting from 1997 as employees of the Ancona Port Authority, enables us to understand and act accurately and punctually on the times and modes of organising and handling the traffic fluxes that interest the ferries and their destinations from the Port of Ancona.
Our activity is, therefore, able to satisfy peculiar needs, some of them logistic, other informative, distinctive of the Doric call which in the last few years has recorded a continuous increase in the flux of both passengers and heavy transport

The passenger service, located near all the sites of basic importance for the passengers' transit, the total willingness of the operators and their skill, have lead to a net improvement in the quality of the service, which is focused on the concrete needs of those who choose the Port of Ancona as place of departure or arrival.

One of the basic requirements for carrying out this service, is a fair knowledge of the foreign languages mostly used within the Port of Ancona. English, German, French, Modern Greek, Croatian are essential tools to understand the needs and come up with the best solutions required by the public.

The company is moreover searching for improvements and innovations, that can bring the service nearer to the public , in order to obtain a full satisfaction of the passengers, and of the Port Authority (who has firmly believed in this activity), and of all the Port operators (with whom we have built a strong cooperation).
In this direction, we believe the creation of our own web site does represent a necessary step toward the user and it is thus through telecom means that we intend to start with new services, as for instance:

- to provide the passengers with the chance of knowing, in real time, the itineraries and time required to reach the Port, the facilities and the open spaces for parking, the docks and the instructions for boarding and unloading procedures;
- to place at passengers’ disposal, a complete and daily updated chart of all the ferries, indicating their destinations and arrivals/departures timetable;
- to give a higher visibility to the Passenger Service, trying to collect suggestions and comments, also through the questionnaire in this web site, that can be useful for a continuous improvement of the reception activity in the Port;
- to show the features and potential of the company, of the services we intend to offer, possibly extending them outside the Port as for example supplying translators and interpreters, or hostess for fairs and exhibitions or touristic guides.
